Simply put..... this Nighthawk Netgear AC1900 R7000 Router is AMAZING. I wasn't really in the market to get a new router as my Linksys E4200 was working pretty good. I was dealing with dropped wifi signals and the fact that my TiVo at the far end of my house was getting 60% wireless signal. I don't regret my purchase AT ALL.

 

I knew this router was going to be great the moment I took it out of the box. This Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (R7000) is HEAVY and BUILT WELL. AND.. it has THREE EXTERNAL ANTENNAS that articulate (you can put them in any position). This is the best wireless WIFI router available at this time (IMHO).

I can get a WIFI connection in some directions almost 450 yards away from my home. When you unbox this NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000 router you will be shocked at its size. It is more than twice as large as my other routers and it takes up a lot of desktop real estate. Its performance makes it worth it though, especially if you have a larger home and need longer transmission distances.

"Fast and Reliable. The router physically is BIG, you could fit two normal routers or more in the same space. I've found though that this big case allows the router to run MUCH cooler than the other high end routers I've tried in the past. I believe that will lead to a much longer life expectancy.
